Hub Charter

Twelve rules that settle arguments before they start.

This is what the Hub promises, so you can check us against it.

Working draft, 23 October 2026. The legal parts of this page have not yet been reviewed by Indian counsel. They will be, before any room opens to the public.

  1. Useful before socialEvery room must be worth visiting with nobody else in it.
  2. Value is visibleThe worth of what someone receives is made legible, not left implied.
  3. Proximity, not funnelThings sit near each other because they are relevant. No lead forms, no contact-the-vendor buttons, nothing promoted because someone paid.
  4. Verified role, pseudonymous faceThe platform knows who you are professionally. The public sees your role and your handle.
  5. Structure for critique, freedom for banterA structured form raises the quality of critique. Off-topic talk gets its own place.
  6. Remember what is worth rememberingThe best answers become Library entries. The rest flows past.
  7. Humans hostEvery weekly ritual has a named person behind it.
  8. Never sell attention or dataNo advertising on the site, no member data sold, no tracking beyond privacy-friendly analytics.
  9. Show sources and datesNothing looks authoritative without both.
  10. India first, not India onlyThe substance is Indian. The door is open to everyone.
  11. Credit is currencyAttribution appears everywhere a contribution does.
  12. Slow is fine; dead is notFewer active boards beat many empty ones.

What we refuse to build

  • An algorithmic feed, follower counts or public karma.
  • Infinite scroll in the Library, streaks and activity badges.
  • Autoplay, or any dark pattern made to keep you here.
  • Lead forms, or paid placement inside discussions.
  • Anonymous direct messages. There are no direct messages at launch.
  • Any sale of member data.

Who is responsible for what

Zariya publishes the Library, the Toolbench and the Issue, and is accountable for them. We give sources and dates, keep a public corrections log, and review entries on a schedule.

Members write the Boards, the Arena entries and the comments. For that content Zariya acts as an intermediary, with terms, a takedown process and a named grievance officer. The officer will be named here before launch.

When staff turn member answers into a Library entry, it becomes Zariya-published content. It is reviewed, and every contributor is credited.

Information, not professional advice

Nothing here replaces the code, a licensed professional or your own judgement. Check the current edition of any code or standard before you rely on it. Where a Library entry touches structure, fire or life safety, it says so.

Your data

Members must be 18 or older. We will follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its rules, and publish how, before accounts open. Verification evidence is checked in private and then deleted. We keep only the outcome, the date and who checked it.
